We have just released our Minecraft episode. Minecraft began in 2009 when a Swedish developer named Markus Persson, calling himself Notch, created a small game called Cave Game. It was renamed Minecraft and let players build, mine, and explore a blocky world. In 2010, Notch started a company called Mojang to keep working on it. The game grew quickly, with new features like survival mode, crafting, and monsters. In 2011, Minecraft was officially released and became a big hit. It came out on consoles and mobile too, and players of all ages around the world joined in. In 2014, Microsoft bought Minecraft for $2.5 billion. Some players were unsure, but the game kept getting better, with updates that added new places like oceans, caves, and mountains. Different dimensions like the End, Nether, and Overworld allow players to see and explore new worlds. Spin-off games like Minecraft Dungeons and Minecraft Legends came later. Schools began using Minecraft to teach kids in fun ways. Now, in 2025, Minecraft is still one of the most popular games ever, with millions of people playing, creating, and exploring every day.
